Stayed here for a month during March 2023, had a room on the 6th floor(under the roof) so here's my thoughts..
Good:
- Price/quality is good, the rooms are new, spacious and with well equipped kitchen (a microwave would finish it though).
- Room was clean on arrival and common area's like hallways/stairs/elevator are cleaned multiple times a day.
- Bed was very good
- Shower is decent size and clean
- 55" 4K TV
- Staff is very friendly (only reception speaks English), though with the contactless check-in/-out, you basically don't have to see anyone during your stay if you don't want.
- Public transport is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, worked perfectly, runs every few minutes and fairly cheap. Good way to get around Prague quickly (download the PID Litacka app, it's all you need for getting tickets/schedules/etc). I did most on foot though, Prague is fairly small.
- There is a huge shopping mall at 3 minute walk from the hotel, including a giant Tesco supermarket and fitness company, everything you need.
- Enough places to eat close by, and food delivery is hot in Prague so you can order-in as well.
- Charles bridge is a 25 minute walk from the hotel.
- I liked the Praha5 district where the hotel is located.
Bad:
- It can be noisy, footsteps, loud tv's, arguments, drunk people coming back in the middle of the night, etc.. It'll wake you up if you're a light sleeper. Some of the walls seem to be thin drywall only. Especially around the weekends it's busier in the hotel. There were a few extreme noise cases during my stay.
- Cleaning is only upon request and costs 10,- euro. I did the cleaning myself, easy with a washing machine in the room.
- The payment for my month stay went wrong due to an error on their end (currency conversion) and cost me an additional 5%, it never got sorted in the end.
- Parking will cost you 20 euro per day, and is in a different location. Parking just is a general problem and expensive in whole of Prague so i don't blame the hotel. With the tram/metro at 3 mins from the hotel, you won't need a car. I parked mine in Prague17 district outside the center where it is free parking, took a tram back to the hotel.
- There is a construction site next to the hotel, can be some noise at times but nothing too serious. Looked like most work will be done in 1-2 months from now (March 2023).
Advice for hotel/visitors:
- bring earplugs (see the noise part)
- I wish every guest would get at least 2 access cards for their room. The amount of times I got woken up due to people knocking on doors to get in during all times of the day/night, countless..
- A microwave on the room would have been nice.
- The fridge is 2m from your bed, fridges make noise at certain times. I unplugged mine during the night..
- Rooms with a washing machine should have a drying rack by default, I got one after I asked for it though.
- the chairs in the room are very basic, not very suited if you're working in your room on a laptop for extended periods a day.
Would I return in the future? Probably..
