Got harassed by the cops because I was a little past dark leaving due to my 3 year old having an accident in her pants. After taking my firearm and my wife's purse ( which also contained a gun ) searching me and running both my and my wife's IDs I was given a lecture about gun safety and God before being free to go. I have been a responsible gun owner probably before this young fellow was even an officer. He even asked my other two children who are 17 and 12 if they were okay and if we were their parents and if we were there sacrificing animals of all things.
Location was Great, that was about it though. We stayed in # 802. First of all, I didnt know this condo was on the top floor. Their was no notes in the listing stating that. With the amount of stuff I had to bring and also having a todler, it was hard to keep going all the way up and down the elevator. It was nice that this unit has a parking space underneath, but no parking pass was in the unit as the listing stated would be on arrival. It was really dark and creepy in the parking area because many of the lights were dim and had broken covers. The elevator itself was old, noisy, and small. The numbers inside didnt light up so you had no idea what floor you are on at any givin time. It is barely large enough for a cart with your things and 3 family members. When you get to the 8th floor, their is a nice balcony in the hallway. Well I guess its nice, Its locked so you cannot enjoy it, just look at it through the locked glass door. The condo itself is not that bad. Their was issues with the kitchen light not wanting to come on all the time. I think the ballast was going bad. The other issues were the jetted tub in the bathroom wouldnt work and their was water pressure problem where it would loose pressure every few minutes. Also it would have been nice to have a screen door to the balcony. Not that big of deal really. Their are 2 pools, an indoor and an outdoor one. The outdoor pool had a bunch of sand in it that needed to be cleaned and the indoor pool was small and had way too many chemicals in it. The sauna light in the fitness room was so dim you couldnt see the person next to you. The building needs alot of upgrades. They have a security guard, but he is creepy, unfriendly, and seemed more intrested in running his metal detector near the beach entrance next door and hanging aroung his car than securing anything. I would recommend finding some other place to stay. Their are nicer buildings in the area for the same money.
