Ballyhornan Bay Beach
2024 Sep 11
On 06/09/24, I went over to Ballyhornan Bay Beach with my sister. While my sister, called into Scout Ireland, to get some documents signed off for them. The beach was busy with other people, as because it was very hot & sunny, yet for the month of September. Ballyhornan Beach is 7 miles away from Downpatrick & is easy to get to. It was the first time in as many years, since I was last over here & it hasn't changed much since I was last here, about 20 years ago. The beach is sheltered has easy access to it. But, I will have to remind you to be careful, as there are rocky slopes in some parts of the beach. But, if you are going, enjoy your day out, for it is a great place for paddling, swimming & just an afternoon walk. Stephen Acton.
Tesco Superstore
2023 Jan 29
I would go down to Tesco Superstore on a daily basis to do my shopping. Staff are very helpful & friendly & will give assistance if there’s anything I need help with. They also have a system, where you can use a machine that reads the bar code of the item that you have picked & then you can use contactless pay as well as cash. Tesco Superstore is well worth a visit for almost anything you require. Stephen Acton.
Shaftesbury Square
2023 Jan 28
I stopped off at Shaftesbury Square to get a bus over to The Ormeau Road Library in Belfast. There are frequent bus services that pass through this area of Belfast. Buses 7A (Four Winds) & 7B (Laurelgrove). The buses then proceed along Botanic Avenue & University Avenue & then onto The Ormeau Road. Hopefully this information will help you if you are using the buses to get around here in Belfast. Stephen Acton.
