For my birthday, I wanted to get lunch somewhere with an upscale vibe, and Liberty Oak fit the bill. Located in a historic building in downtown Greensboro, Liberty Oak does indeed have an upscale, sophisticated decor.
Like a lot of places, they have a limited lunch menu with fewer selections than their dinner menu, but I wanted to be back at my hotel by dinner, so I chose their blackened salmon filet with a side of fries. Everything was tasty and well-seasoned, and I enjoyed my meal. Prices were quite reasonable given the atmosphere of the restaurant, but then again, this was lunch - dinner is decidedly more expensive. Still, I was impressed with my lunch here, and I'd be open to returing again to sample their dinner - I do make it out to Greensboro at least once a year.
