Very bad experience. Had an emergency flight scheduled to Ottawa at 7:15am. On the way to the airport there was HEAVY fog, and ended up arriving about 20-30 minutes prior to the flight. I had already checked in online however I still needed my boarding pass. I arrived as soon as I could to the counter to collect my boarding pass and there was no one there, I then asked staff if there was anybody who could help me as I had already checked in and just need a boarding pass and they replied very rudely and unprofessionally to just go and wait at the counter, I waited at the counter like they told me to do so and nobody showed up and it was getting close to boarding time (NOTE: Boarding HAS NOT begun yet, ALL passengers were still waiting in the lounge). I then asked the security if there was anyone who could assist me as I’m getting worried about missing my flight, so she went and came back a few minutes later just to say, once again in a very rude tone; “You’re not gonna fly today. You’re late, too bad” I then replied that I was not late as I was here prior, I had already checked in online and I was told to wait for someone to show up at the counter for my boarding pass. She then replied “There’s nothing we can do, too bad you should’ve been like everybody else” I then entered the screening area and had said to the staff members there who were at the boarding gate that I have an emergency in Ottawa and the plane has not begun boarding yet and I already checked it online so what is the issue with receiving a boarding pass? When I asked to speak with a manager One of them them replied with very low class while throwing his hands up in the air and said “That’s not our problem” “We don’t have a manager” I then tried to explain my situation but I was just ignored. Each staff member at Sudbury Airport treated me with the most disrespect I have ever experienced and made me feel like I was nothing . There was absolutely no effort whatsoever to try and help me and instead just tried to make things even worse for me. I live in Sudbury and use airports often I have never experienced anything like what I experienced here. P.S. The flight ended up being delayed/cancelled due to the fog. Their actions and behaviour to me were absolutely unnecessary and unacceptable.
