First things first, the staff are absolutely lovely and helpful. I bought madeleine for a friend and she found them to be delicious. That being said, the comptoir itself really isn't all that inviting. I would not sit down for a coffee and a pastry. But ppl did. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
The walk alongside the canal from Skytree to Asakusa is really quite beautiful. It ends with crossing Sumida river via Sumida River Walk. You can spot trains from below, ships from above, the other bridges from afar, and Skytree! Especially beautiful at night. It's a nice stroll from Skytree to Asakusa! Walk this route instead of taking the train.
Of the new wave of coffee shops in this city and specifically this neighborhood, 3kaffeebar has the friendliest staff and probably the edgiest interior. They really take their coffee seriously.
Very attentive staff. The food is good, but lowkey sort of bland-ish? Defenitely not spicy, even if marked as such. I would come again, but maybe make drinks your main objective and consider the food as an add on for a nice night out.
Loving the vibe. But unfortunately there's only one vegetarian option on the menu and to be quite frankly, it tasted rather plain. If you eat meat, I think you will love the food. Rice only though, no nan.
