The striped facade in side is simple but very beautiful, the side buttresses give it might, like the faith of all pilgrims. The Basilica is dedicated to the founder of the Poor Clares and her crypt is located below which is accessible to the public for FREE. Strictly no photo.
We had a 2 Tiramisù and gelato. Tiramisu for €5 with lady finger or sponge vanilla of 1 cm thick and all mascarpone cream on top was not good in here. Get some gelato instead. Service staff is 5 ⭐️ here.
Scalo playground - open basketball court for 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 don’t expect whole court game. Less star for court flooring.
Different sandwiches from prosciutto cotto, salami, porchetta with different cheese in an affordable price. The bread is really freshly baked. Service crews are not english-speaking but they are good.
If you visited already the city of Siena, this is your next stop. Where St. Catherine of Siena tomb is located. At the back of the sacristy, there is a small door going to her tomb. And inside you can see different frescoes and medieval architectures. Moreover, in the foremost left there is a chapel for Santo Domenico. The church is free to visit.
