It is greatest boon for travellers who are travelling by flight. The metro ride is very cheap compared to taxi ride which is priced 10times more. There are also eating joints. If one has a metro card the parking is minimal But the parking becomes full very quickly.
The metro station is sandwiched between the two aerohubs which are under construction. There are two metro lines one is the blue line and the other is the green line. You can change lines at Alandur metro. The blue line covers Guindy,Saidapet, nandanam, teynamapet, thousand lights etc and reaches central while the green line covers ekatuthangal,Vadapalani,Annanagar,Shenoy nagar and reaches Central. People can change over again to blue line at central. The final destination for blue line is Wimco nagar via Thiruvottiyur.
