west elm

Will not be back. West elm overall is one of my favorite stores. Scheduled an in home design appointment, got multiple confirmation texts and emails including the morning of. No one showed up. I called the store, a guy answered staying we're not doing those right now and that I needed to change my tone.

For reference, I was pretty annoyed but did not curse or say anything out of turn. Put me on hold multiple times for long periods. No real apology, just said "we apologize, that was on us" but with no real sense of remorse. These places and their raggedy customer service expecting someone to want to spend hundreds or thousands in your store for half "bleep" service. I'm good sir, I will not be back. I have spent literally thousands at west elm but will drive to Tysons vs. Come here. You all need customer service training immediately.
Navy Yard Dog Park
2019 Mar 17
In terms of dog park amenities, this one is pretty bare, especially if you compare to parks like the Shirlington dog park, or the parks in Rockville, like Cabin John (we're dog park frequenters). On my first visit: the water was turned off for the winter, there were no dog bowls and no bags provided. However, it was clean, the gravel/rock was a great selection for the park that was easy on my dog's paws and doesn't get him all muddy. Even though it's pretty bare, it's only of the only dog parks in this area, so I appreciate that it's here at all and the owners I met there are very friendly. And my dog actually loved it more than the fancier dog parks we've visited; I think he was more social because it's small, I think he felt more comfortable. It was also clean. So we'll be going back. It will probably be our first pick on the weekends.
