Seaside camping in north Jacksonville. Best if you can stay during the week. This is also the local beach and gets very crowded on the weekends. Lots to see here. It’s on the port so ships are coming and going. Lots of nesting birds as well. Beautiful white sand beaches. Campground is simple. No shade and many site are along the main road so noisy. Facilities are old and worn out. No camp store. Come here for the beach not the campground experience.
This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Fort Lauderdale. You can dine right on the new river and watch the million dollar yachts go by. The service is exceptional. The food is delicious. The views are amazing.
This local restaurant has an amazing lunch special Monday-Friday. Great service and a all about water vibe. I probably dine here several times a month and I’m never disappointed. The blackened fish sandwich is seasoned just right.
Lots of history and nature in this massive preserve. Saw a few other cars during our stay. Took a few hikes and went down to the boat ramp at the end of star Ranch. Also explored the abandon buildings. Trails were not marked to well but found a few.
