Grabbed a couple of takeaway pizzas for the girls and I on a Friday night a few weeks ago while we prepped for a garage sale.

The pizzas were delicious to eat, but sadly later that night I was violently ill.

Unsure if it was because of the oil, but it ruined an otherwise lovely evening.

Friendly service. Cute venue. Great menu!

Great job on the chicken Caesar salad and the club sandwich was outrageously large.

Great lunch. Will be back
Shuck Restaurant

Tried the new menu at Shuck and oh my goodness - it’s amazing!

Starting with the oysters Kilpatrick the six oysters were huge with the perfect ratio of topping.

The Waygu Bresaola was beyond delicious and very moreish.

Pork cutlet schnitzel for main - yes it is on the pricier side BUT it is well worth it. Could easily serve two if you have entrees as the cutlet is MASSIVE.

Honestly couldn’t fault the food at all and highly recommend you go and try the new menu!

Casual lunch with friends today and was oh so pleasantly surprised to discover what seems like a secret outdoor dining area.

Small lunch menu but The Local does offer an all day breakfast, which is always great!

Food was served relatively quickly and all three of us ate everything on our plates.

Cute little venue on Tedder Ave, wouldn’t mind going back and checking out breakfast.
In the Jin Hot Pot

Hit China town last night and randomly picked In the Jin Hot Pot. BYO.

Neither of us had been to a dining experience like this so after a lot of questions to our server about how it all works, menu item descriptions (which they don’t have and is tricky when you’ve never had a hot pot before), and how to order.

They have an online ordering system via QR code at the table which doesn’t even have the complete menu item, hence the difficulty in knowing what to order.

Once we ordered and everything was brought out, that’s where the fun begins.

We had the four flavour hot pot, beef, chicken, prawns, pork, bok choy, corn, 2 types of noodles and seasonal vegetables.

The theatrics of cooking it yourself is good fun but after a while the novelty did wear off. I think if we knew what we were doing it would be a different story.

Regardless, the venue is gorgeous. The boots are intimate and spacious. The food was fresh and delicious - a lot of it too, and the staff were friendly and tolerant of our constant questions lol
