Attended as part of an organised bike trip & was surprised you could go in & up in the museum.

Unfortunately for us the displays were only in Italian but the view from tge various levels were great, as was being able to move along the wall & see where soldiers or archers would have been.

Really good.
There on a foggy Brisbane morning, it was very photogenic with numerous people walking, running, cycling, scootering around or just admiring the green space.

Bust this weekend hosting the Brisbane Marathon & running festival.

Lovely spot to wander & breath some fresh air, or sit & read a book.

Loved it - surpassed expectations! Arrived for early tour, quickly assigned to a guide & off we headed.

As we proceeded the guide (great bloke Terry) provided a general commentary on the ground & history. Then an address on the ground maintenance & how the ground is maintained.

Into the old Scoreboard on how it works - very interesting.

Further onto the members area, the walk of honour, the teams area with honour boards & finishing up in the commentary area.

Final stop was a breakfast - good variety available & all we needed. Really good visit including some fun anecdotes.
A very good day for a party of 4 with only negatives being 1 bike had gear issues & the 4.30 ferry home was very full & seating was cramped with groups having to separate to get seats.

We went over on 7.30 from Freo & smooth loading & trip arriving on time. Our rented bikes were available- sadly 1 bikes gears were poor. Otherwise all good.

The 4.30 ferry was a 3 deck boat stopping Freo enroute to Perth. It was packed & for some uncomfortable. Would pay to get on asap & not leave it to 4.25.

Trip home was smooth. Both ferries had snack bar/bar working on board serving an array of snacks, & hot & cold drinks.

Guests were able to retake their own bikes to island. The stop in Freo is very central, easy to get to, with parking available.

The Island is great.
What a cool place with something for kids & oldies. Council has done a great job.

Plenty of parking available. Nice little kiosk/Cafe that served great fish & chips.

Good pathway along beach including jetty. Good space to sit & rest or have a picket.

Great facilities for kids with playground & park
