I went for the Chinese lantern light show in December. I thought it was just ok. It is pretty. A lot of the lanterns are showing their age, though. Quick walk through, and I was done. I did get pictures for you! I was happy that parking was free and the ticket to get in was pretty cheap too. All of the people working were super nice!

I went on a Friday morning early, before the tomb itself was open. The outside is deeply shaded by huge old trees, which in the heat of summer is divine, providing a cooler spot to sit and just enjoy a green spot in the city. I believe the outside could be maintained a bit better, especially with the upkeep of the beautiful mosaic tile seating around the tomb itself. I did see many people out walking their dogs around the grounds and the adjacent intermingled paths of Riverside Park.
Tom's Diner is an amazing place that offers the best NYC neighborhood diner experience. One of my favorites here is the hot coffee served in a cup that never goes dry or gets cold, which is perfect for coffee lovers like me. In addition, they have not just one, but two bathrooms for customers, ensuring convenience and comfort during visits. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, providing excellent service. And let's not forget about the food - it is absolutely delicious. Overall, Tom's Diner is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable and satisfying dining experience.
Wave Hill Public Garden is a fantastic place to visit. The amenities, such as clean restrooms and a nice, tidy Cafe, are definitely a plus. The gardens themselves are absolutely stunning, with a variety of colorful flowers and plants to include a water garden with lillies and goldfish. I especially loved the abundance of shaded seating areas along the walking paths, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The convenience of easy street parking or a paid lot makes it accessible for everyone. Additionally, I was impressed by how well they catered to individuals with limited mobility, offering assistance when needed. It was heartwarming to see many families with children exploring the garden as well. Overall, Wave Hill Public Garden is a must-visit, offering a serene and enjoyable experience for all.
Noches De Columbia is a must-visit restaurant for all food enthusiasts. I had the pleasure of dining at one of their outdoor tables and was immediately impressed. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, and the Mango Margherita I ordered was particularly delightful. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was so strong that I found myself grateful I wasn't driving. Moreover, the staff at Noches De Columbia were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
