Harriet Tubman Grove
2022 Aug 27
It's a wonderful idea to honor a great American as is Harriet Tubman. The location is beautiful. Yet, the city has not kept it clean. In addition to the graffiti, the stand that once honored two traitors to the United States is still there with its inscription and donation by the white supremist & Baltimore banker Henry Ferguson. It would be great if, in its place, a statue that could honor Harriet Tubman and/or Frederick Douglas could be there.
A great place to rest and the first memorial established honoring Abraham Lincoln. You can scan a code and get a call from Abe Lincoln (impersonator, of course :-) ). Great for the entire family.
Sculpture Garden, BMA

An amazing sculpture garden that's too well hidden from the public. It's well worth to stop for a walk to see the art and read the plaques.
Located in a very old and historic building from the early 1700s that was moved to this location, there is plenty of information inside for your taking. The volunteer was very helpful, giving us information about the local events, including a local art open house.
