The volunteers are courteous and effective; they're an asset to the community.
This is reasonably maintained spot in downtown Takoma Park with a some benches and public art near the gazebo and a couple of well worn pieces of play equipment down the steep hill beyond. It's not a great place to picnic or take small children and it usually has some bulky amateur sculpture on its grounds.
This park has had a lot of love and attention from the city and local users. It's clean, modern and well maintained. There is modern play equipment, water, a community garden, and a large grassy area shaded by tall trees to play in.
A quiet, shady park that needs and will likely receive renovation in the future. There are swings for youth and toddlers, a gazebo with two tables and mulched play areas. There are grassy areas that are a bit weedy and rooty to play sports.
It's an affordable, safe, clean private pool with a mellow atmosphere and a strong sense of community. There's always a place to relax and enjoy the quiet afforded by proximity to such a large cemetery. There is often a breeze, people grilling and shade in the afternoons.
