We stopped here several times during our Christmas in NYC visit. It’s the place to be in New York in December. Problem is, everyone knows it, so everyone is there. Expect crowds. But expect spectacular views of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, the gardens, the skyline, and the Saks Fifth Avenue store. Amazing.
The shake options are fun. Lots of variety on the menu. Decent prices. Great location. Stop by here instead of the typical fast food chain options.
Imagine a world where John Lennon wasn’t taken from us so early, and so tragically. That’s what I do when I come here. Thank you for your music, John.
Most rest areas don’t hold a candle to these Adirondack Welcome Centers along I-87. Beautiful exterior and interior. Clean restrooms.
It was a special experience to come here and honor my grandfathers and remember their sacrifice. I knew the site would be thoughtful and reverent, honoring the brave men and women who fought and in some cases lost their lives. What I didn’t know and didn’t expect was how moved I would be when watching my kids dip their feet into the fountain to cool off on a hot spring day. There was something so profound and healing about experiencing that. We sat their with our feet in the cool water and reflected on life and lost loved ones. Beautiful.
