One of the most amazing things we visited during our holiday to France! The tapestry is a romanesque masterpiece commissioned by Bishop Odo (William the Conqueror's half-brother) to be hung in his newly-built cathedral in Bayeux in the 11th century. It tells the story of conquest of England by the Duke of Normandy.
