Outstanding little French restaurant. We flew into DCA rush and rather than fight traffic stopped here for dinner on a whim. We ordered gazpacho, onion soup, moules et frites and salade Nicoise. Both soups were fantastic! The Gruyère was amazing in the soup. Both main plates were excellent. We then ordered desserts… these were sublime! Have to come back and try more on the menu! Attentive service and the restaurant is well appointed.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years and I have always enjoyed the food and the ambience. Tonight was no exception but the service was not up to usual standards. We sat down just after 7 pm. We ordered appetizers and main dishes. Our appetizers arrived just after 8 pm. In addition, service was not attentive. At no point did the wait staff apologize for the delay. The restaurant now charges a mandatory 22% service charge or tip which would be appropriate for exceptional service, but this was not it. This restaurant needs to do better …
