Came here for my mothers birthday. We had made a reservation a day before, and the night we went it wasn’t busy at all. It was quite cozy inside with their fireplace that warmed the place up. The appetizers, main dish and complimentary desserts were delicious, the service was stellar, they even sang happy birthday! It was a great place to have a birthday. The price for what you get is well worth it.
I don’t want to hate on a small town place, but I was very disappointed with the quality of food here. To call this food “mexican” is downright wrong. I had Pollo Tacos for about €17? Three hard shell tacos came with a bed of mixed greens. The tacos had rice, beans, veggies, chicken with no taste, and a little saucer of what tasted like generic salsa from Lidl. No hot sauce anywhere, or maybe not available. No pico de gallo or avocado, no jalapeños, no cilantro, no cumin…. No taste. It seems like they have all the ingredients but no chef that knows what the cuisine is. Worst than that is the price. If the food cost under 10 euro, fine and dandy, but to spend as much as I paid and still leave hungry is a shame.
Hands down- the most economical place you can buy vegetables, milk and produce in Ditmars-Astoria.
It’s right next to the steps to the N Train, perfect on the way home to pick up one of their special deals that they tend to have. $5 minimum for credit card. Nice Turkish grocery selection and very friendly sales associates :).

The food is delicious! The guy here is very friendly and funny. Non-pretentious, laid-back, modern coffee cafe playing great music, and an extensive menu & the place is huge. Prices are affordable!
My morning cup of coffee place. Place is always open when I hop on the train at 7am. Decent coffee/nothing bitter or expensive. Reliable
