New facility in West End Alexandria with great basketball/volleyball floor, weight room (TRX!), activity classrooms, great programming.
Pleasant feel to a room post office with a stocked postal store. Nice conversation with clerk who sold me stamps. Noted photo of namesake Preston King, World War II hero. This could be a community center, like Post Offices of yore.
Small, experimental theater tucked away in the corner of the Kennedy Center. We saw "She A Gem” in Feb 2019, and enjoyed good sound and lighting. Seats have great views. Producers creatively made the most of a small stage. If you go to the rest room you will feel like you're walking through the production, so plan ahead.
There's an active schedule of plays set here. If you want something less know and less expensive, consider this house.

Community pool open 50 years and counting, a mainstay of the community in West End Alexandria. If you have summer days to devote here, this can be a family memory. Go frequently to get your money worth. Swim team!
It's an undeveloped lot.
