This is a hidden gem.

We were looking for a way back to our hotel and stumbled upon this great place. I am sure we were the only tourists there.

No English so just point at what you want.

The fresh fish is on display by the door. Grilled perfectly! You must be okay with bones. If not, order the tuna, which also looked amazing!

The locals seem to order the ribs/pork leg(?) with batata fritas (fries) and we were told to add olive oil to everything.

The tomato salada was fresh and everyone ordered the port / red wine(?).

We wil come back and try the desserts, which looked wonderful.

Very small place. Opens at noon.

I think they used to have more food options previously.

Maybe because it’s winter so fewer people dining at this time of year.

Great place for family dining.

Good service. Clean bathrooms and they have water for customers!

Açai bowl slightly more runny than we are used to.

Beet juice seems healthy- maybe too healthy for me!

Went there through Forbidden Tours and loved hearing the history about this building. It has so much rich history and the owner is a hoot!

There’s a charm about the space and I like how it has withstood so much change in the neighborhood.

It’s a gem in the city!

I’ve been here about 3 times. Great atmosphere. I wish they gave out the teapots with warmers / candles to steep the tea properly.

Not ideal for large groups. 4. Max 6 people.

Expensive for the quality.
