I have had Umami Sushi a few times over the past year: I had takeaways and also dined in their lovely outdoor area, thankfully covered because it was pouring with rain! The place is small so the indoor part is mostly a waiting area for takeaway. The variety on the menu is rather good and each piece is crafted by hand so expect to wait a little bit for your order.

The newly opened shop in Golden Island has everything you need, from homewares to clothes, accessories to gift ideas and jewellery. Always supporting Irish designers, you find items that you wouldn't see elsewhere, which is refreshing as so much is mass produced out there and original pieces are hard to come by. Some good offers going on too on selected lines. In this pictures are some quirky and unusual pieces for the house and garden.

Great place to chill out in the afternoon after the manic lunch rush hour has gone. City workers back to their cubicles, The Bakehouse can then be enjoyed by tourists and freelancers like me. Nice background music, good coffee and cakes. I had a mini doughnut, cute and delicious. I didn't know that my cappuccino came with a mini chocolate cupcake, bonus! (Plus, free CHQ WiFi, my life is complete)
