Seating too tightly packed to enjoy the ambience and we were in and out jn 25 mins- very noisy, shouty and crammed. Waiting staff oftern squeezing past and pushing the back of your chair due to lack of space.
Service could be have been better- I was not told when arriving which items were not on the menu. Then I was told thst the brunch I wanted was not available but it turned out it was just too nosiy and the waiter hadn't heard correctly which one I was asking for.
Toilets not well maintained- the toilet seat was loose and tap fitting also loose.
We ordered yaki udon and shish tawook kebab. Noodles in the Yaki Udon were all broken up and the dish was bland and uninteresting. There was barely any tempeh in it so apparently was jot very filling and the greens on the top were wilting. The shish was more flavoursome, but very small portions for 16.50.
Overall not a nice lunch experience as the venue was not good. The food overall was acceptable, but not the usual Mildred's standard.

It was a wet and dismal day when we visited, so the animals were mostly inside their barns and there wasn't anything in the upper fields. There was also a landslide at this end, so there are no horses there now either. It was slightly bigger than expected and had some signs of enterprise (Cafe open later in the day and a Christmas fayre on tomorrow).
All in all fairly basic, but probably not a great time of year to visit. Kids may be disappointed as you are not allowed to touch any of the animals, although I believe they have special times for that, so organise your visit if you want to include that.

Excellent service and food. I can honestly say I've not had a really good meal out in England for about 4 years, so this was hugely needed! We had the mixed vegetable omelette and the meatballs with mash, plus a mixed salad to start. Giving 5 stars because it really couldn't have been any better!
