The local open-air Swop Meet is held here at this location every Sunday from around 9am, (next Sunday, 18 Jan, 2022 is the last this year, and maybe not open during Winter months?). $2 entry fee for a great cause. Oh, such a great West Aussie experience it is! All sorts of fresh and pickled home/grown produce on stalls run by lots of clever householders - last Sunday I bought a big jar of home-pickled Greek-style olives (5),and another of gorgeous fig preserves, each cost $5. WA is full of creative people and many of them are here, bringing beautiful hand-craft items for their craft stalls. I looked longingly at some pretty vintage dresses, and am now saving $55 for one such! I hope it’s still there after Xmas, though probably not, it was so very cool. Although you must search carefully to find such treasures, they are there! Enjoy a lovely morning in the relaxing setting under the big gum trees. Plenty of vans selling eats and drinks, though I have not sampled those personally - you can bring your own picnic goodies along. The traders are generally a most friendly, happy bunch, too. Recommend. XS
A great place on a walk along the fantastic pathways around Mullaloo Beach front. Begin or end at the Mullaloo Tavern, especially good for a sunset drink, and snack on their great terraces with terrific to-the West sea views.
