We went hiking the day after Thanksgiving in the snow. It was beautiful and we had a great time.
The parking lot is nice and has a bathroom that was locked when we were there. The trail is made of loose rock and was quite slippery on the way down in the snow. The trail is pretty steep.
The younger kids decided to stay at the base of the trail and sled. It worked pretty well with using the trail as the sledding track but there wasn't anywhere else to sled. So I don't really recommend that.
All in all, it was nice but not my favorite trail around here.

We came here for a family picnic on memorial day. We reserved the two pavilions and they were clean and nice but kind of expensive. ($50 each) They are perfectly located so that you can see both the great big grassy field for playing games and the splash pad.
The splash pad is great. The kids loved it. It has a waterfall and plenty of room for a big crowd. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. And due to the holiday, there were even street vendors with ice cream and slushies.
