On the whole my family and I had a nice day out there.
We were particularly pleased to see dogs are banned from the site which meant our son could run around without us worrying about him standing in their muck. The gardens are nice and there are a lot of play grounds for the children.

We found that most play areas are in good order though there are a few things they may want to fix. They have a big slide but maybe it would be better if they offered mats to slide on.

Our main gripe was that firstly the train that takes visitors around the site was not running as it only runs on weekends and public holidays. I was surprised it didn't run during school holidays. Without it means a lot of walking which could be an issue if you are with very young children for example. I noticed also some of the food kiosks also weren't open and the peddle boats weren't available for hire.

A plus is the entry price which was only €8 for two adults and a child for the day. You can bring your own food and drink in which is good.
There are good car parking facilities.

Another thing offered are small huts where you can spend the night, though we found the price a bit high considering it was like glorified camping.
Apart from the few negatives we enjoyed ourselves and we got a lot of exercise.
