A great option in Mystic.
We went for an early dinner and were able to accommodate us with a baby. We ordered the fried monkfish, halibut, carrots, cornbread, and oysters rockefeller. The entrees were decent but both felt like they were missing something. We liked the appetizers much more - with the best dish being the carrots!

Good drinks and food.
A few of their drinks had already kicked around 4pm which was a tad annoying. But they still had a pretty large list of options.
Food was solid, with my personal favorite being the pastrami egg rolls. Never had one before and now I might need to find out how to make these at home.

Overall, I had an okay experience at Gadfly.
We arrived during happy hour, where drinks are 2 dollars off. They had a great drink menu, and we ended up getting a variety of different cocktails. Mix of hits/misses, but that's expected when trying new cocktails. I would give the drinks menu a solid 4/5.
Food on the other hand was pretty disappointing. The smash burger was incredibly underwhelming, especially when you can get tons of better ones nearby for a fraction of the price. It didn't pack much flavor and the burger fell apart while I ate it. Their French fries were excellent, which did make up for the subpar burger. The hot dog was okay but nothing special. 3/5 for the food.
Service was decent and they were fairly attentive. Slowed down a bit when the place got more busy but nothing to complain about.
They have some games in the back as well as special events throughout the week. I'd probably come back for happy hour, but would eat elsewhere.

My wife and I came here for a date night on a Tuesday night. There were tons of availability, but we decided to reserve the easier vampire room as it was just the two of us. It had been years since we last did an escape room but the game master assured us that hints were available if needed.
Surprisingly, we were able to stumble through everything together and just finished with 3ish minutes to spare - with NO hints! We both had so much fun, we're already planning on coming back.
The host also mentioned that they were looking into expanding the basement for an additional fifth room with the next year or so. I'm unsure how frequently they rotate the rooms (if at all).
