I've got nothing but good things to say about Lodge on Queen after photographing an anniversary party there last fall.

Anna and her staff were on top of things from the moment I arrived until I left 4 hours later - between fulfilling my requests, as well as my clients and their guests. They also never seemed to slow down on the super tasty hors d'oeuvres being brought out for the guests.

What really captured my attention at Lodge on Queen was the look of the space. This venue has it all for the beautiful rustic loft look. Wooden floors, exposed brick, stained glass and walls covered in stunning art work. Even the furniture selection was very tastefully done.

All in all, I highly recommend this venue for anyone to looking for a place to host their event or wedding. You really can't go wrong.

I was delightfully surprised when I photographed an event at The Gardens Event Centre last year. For a venue that is located in an industrial part of town, it was really well decorated and made you forget where you were.

Each room has it's own look but at the same time, is on brand for the entire venue. Lots of areas you can take pictures with different backgrounds and is well-lit enough that guest's cell phone photos will turn out great. I especially liked the outside courtyard area with the brick wall and array of string lights - the perfect touch to bring warmth outside and a beautiful backdrop for weddings that involve an grand exit.

I also have to mention that staff was very easy to work with while I was there, acting quick on a few requests I had to make my job run a bit smoother. From my observations, they made all the guests really welcome and taken care of.

And last, but not least, the food was wonderful! So much so, that I made a 2nd trip back to the buffet to enjoy some of my favourites again.

My hats off to all the staff at The Gardens Event Centre! I hope to see you again soon.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at this gorgeous venue last fall and can't wait to do another one.

The style of venue is right up my alley - beautiful brick and exposed wooden beams create the perfect loft look. They had other great small touches like string lights, marquee signs and large paneled windows that leave enough room for couples/clients to add their own touches.

Working with the staff was a breeze as soon as I arrived. They kept me in the loop with upcoming events to make sure I wouldn't miss a moment and helped me out with small requests that I needed to do my job.

It's also worth stating that the location of 2nd Floor Events offers a lot of great backgrounds for photo sessions including the alley it's entrance is on + King & Queen's Street. I will be sure to mention this to my next client that books here as we ended up doing our photos in Liberty Village.

Finally, how could I forget about the food. So amazing! The cut of beef was cooked to perfection and so flavourful. I can't wait to return!

Right off the top - this venue is stunning! Family, wedding party and couples' photos get the choice of nature or historic wood and stone architecture as the backdrop. The historic theme is also seen inside through the many halls to host your wedding or event, including one with a massive patio that backs onto the courtyard (my favourite spot)!

Not only that, but the food their catering department serve is 2nd to none. Big portions and cooked just right. What else is there to say about food?

Last but not least, the staff at Old Mill have always been so easy to work with and my clients continue to say the same. If you're considering this venue as your spot for your wedding or event - take this as the last push you need to move forward. You won't regret it!
