Tiramisu , you have to try it. We went to Baci for desert, but saw all the other food passing by and we can't wait to eat lunch at Baci tomorrow.

If you are not going to the main theater that has the 70 MM screen, I would not bother. The place is crowded, not clean and filled with people taking photos of the cement with the names in it and they don't seem to care if they push or knock you over.
Now, as to the main theater. There is only one and you will know when you look up the movie you want to see. The other theaters are smaller and not comfortable.
This main theater is beautiful. It has all the old art deco that was the pride of the Chinese for decades. They have redone all the seats and there is not a bad seat in the house. Each row is lifted so you can see and the backs of the chairs go back. They are super comfortable.
The concessions are nothing to write home about. They are the same as any movie house. They are pricey and not great.

The sound is great and the picture is amazing. We saw Oppenheimer there and are so happy we did. We will be back for another great movie like this one, but as to the smaller theaters that are now part of the Chinese Theater, we will pass.
If you are a tourist, your wallet is in your front pocket. Take all the photos you want but be considerate of others. Have a great time.

My Special Needs grandson has gone to Friendship Foundation camp for 2 wonderful weeks. He loves it so much and can't wait to go back.
Friendship Foundation is an organization that helps Special kids and adults in Southern California. It is located in the Redondo Beach area. It is easy to get to.
There is nothing you will not love about this place. They have so many programs and activities, but I will address only the camp here. Your child or adult will be teamed up with a buddy, and the fun starts. There are so many volunteers and staff, all who care about only making the campers happy, safe, and able to form new friendships. They teach kindness and sharing and letting everyone know that no matter your "disability" you are perfect just the way you are.
If you have a Special person in your life, you are lucky. They will love this camp. No one is left out. It is just joyful.

The Kennedy Center is a must go, if there is anything playing while you are in D.C. It is amazing, beautiful, historic and an honor to President Kennedy.

Valley Park, located in a residential area of Hermosa Beach is just adorable. It it not huge, but a good size. It is known well by the locals. My grandson and I happened upon it on a drive one day.
It is so pretty. It has lovely trees and a full area of kids things to do. The place is kept super clean and it is a very safe park. What is super cool is the ice cream truck comes by every day and it will take you back to childhood.
There is something to do for everyone and if you just want to relax, there is plenty of space to lay out a blanket and have lunch or do whatever you want.
