This a very cute and very small amusement park geared towards younger kids under 7 or so. It’s next to the Queens Zoo and very close to the New York Hall of Science.
For $25, your child can go unlimited times on all of the rides. Otherwise, you can purchase individual tickets for each ride ($3). There are about 7-8 rides and one game booth. My two-year-old nephew loved the small trains ride. He’s on the tall side and the staff made him go by himself since we didn’t have extra tickets for the adults. If you have children under the height limit, then the adults can ride for free.
There’s also an old fashion carousel ride that goes very fast! It was a bit disconcerting how fast they make this carousel go. If you have young kids, I would suggest you place them go on one of the stationary horses or inside one of the carriages rather than on one of the horses that goes up and down.
The only food option here is a hot dog stand and a Mister Softee van parked by the entrance of the amusement park.
Overall, not a bad place to spend a couple of hours. There were just enough rides to keep my nephew happy. And we got to spend time at the park afterwards.

My first impression of this restaurant was quite favorable. I liked the way it was laid out and decorated. I thought the Japanese wall paper was very cool, the bamboo stalks in the middle of the restaurant was a nice touch, and I especially liked the booths with the comfy pillows.
As soon as we sat down, we asked if we could order from the lunch specials listed on the menu. We weren’t sure if this was available on weekends and we were so happy when the waiter said yes. Unfortunately, the waiter came back and told us that she made a mistake and it wasn't available. Okay, fine. Everyone makes mistakes and the waiter was very apologetic.
We ended up ordering the kani salad, shumai, eel avocado roll, salmon avocado roll, Thai spring roll, Zen House fried rice and chicken pad Thai. The pad Thai was good. It had a nice spicy kick to it. Both the eel avocado and salmon avocado roll tasted fresh. The kani salad was smaller than I was expecting but it tasted good. I liked the crunchy topping on it. The Thai spring roll was a bit of a disappointment. It looked like the ones you can get at your local Chinese joint, albeit not as oily and with bigger shrimps. Overall, I thought the food was solid. It didn’t completely bowl me over but it was good.
I thought the service could have been better. The staff were all very friendly and attentive but clearly not all of them were trained. We were given the wrong info about the lunch specials, the ingredients in the Zen House fried rice and the Yelp offer for free ice cream. If you check-in on your Yelp app, you get a free scoop of ice cream. My friend and I asked if we could both redeem this offer and get a scoop of ice cream each. The waiter said yes and had us redeem the offer on our phones in front of her. She came back a few minutes later and apologized saying she made a mistake. Okay, again it’s not a big deal but I thought it was kind of petty of them not to honor it and give us both the ice cream. Such a small thing but it kind of annoys me when I think about it.

My nephew attended the Fall session of the soccer/baseball combo class for 2-3-year old and he loved it. At that age, it’s very hard to keep their attention but the coaches here are very patient and attentive.
We thought Coach Nick was great. And we have noticed some improvement with my nephew’s soccer skills. He can now run and kick the ball with no problem. Sometimes he even gets the ball into the net. It’s a great 45-minute class and he enjoyed going every Sunday.
The coaches are so great with the kids and the activities are very engaging. The parents are asked to participate so we’ve gotten quite the workout during these classes.
I love that the classes are indoors, and they have benches to sit on, so you can watch the kids during class. I’ll be honest though, the first time we came here we got lost. The signage for this facility could use some work. The building is shared by several athletic programs and the entrance for Lil Athletes is off on the side street. You can easily bypass it. The facility itself is large and there are plenty of room for kids to run around.
It’s a great program and helps younger kids improve on their socialization skills while getting a fun workout. We’ve already signed him up for another session this summer.

This library is huge! I haven’t been back since they renovated a few years ago. I love how they reinvented the indoor and outdoor space. Whenever I walk by, I see a lot of people sitting in front of the library in the many benches and sitting areas. There is an outdoor reading garden and roof area. The roof area requires someone with an ID to swipe the door open so I’m guessing it’s off limits.
At first glance, the inside looks very spacious and with lots of windows-- it makes for a very bright and inviting space. Everything looks very clean and organized. But I actually find the layout of the building somewhat awkward. It feels very spacious but the reading and sitting areas are small. And most times it’s hard to find seats to read in. The building is three floors and bathrooms are in the lower level. The kids section is at the top floor. Again, even though the building is large, the kids section feels very small. In fact, they even require parents to leave their strollers outside in the hallway.
My favorite section of the library is the second floor where they have huge floor to ceiling glass windows with a small sitting area that has great views of Broadway. The windows let in a lot of natural light and it’s a great area to sit and read or take pictures. It does get very hot here though when the sun streams in through the windows.
They offer lots of activities and classes for children (toddler dancing, chess, music classes) and adults (ballroom dancing, ESL). A great library for the community.

Went for the first time today and found the food to be quite delicious. The staff were quite attentive and friendly. It was very hard to find the restaurant. We drove by it and had to go back to look for it. The front is non description and even the front door gives no clue that it was a Japanese restaurant.
