Cypress Park was usually pretty empty whenever we went there, which can be a good thing if your kid is overly sensitive to a lot of noise. It's also nestled in the middle of a neighborhood so it's pretty quiet there.
It has two separate playset areas divided by a covered picnic table area, as well as swing sets off to the side, plus tennis courts, and a lot of open grassy areas to run on. It also has a restroom and drinking fountain.
The playsets are pretty normal but also have a rope climbing wall and a "zipline", which not all parks have. They're all in decent condition but there's some definite wear and tear on many of the metal surfaces. It's not the kind where a kid could tear off something and put it in their mouth but the kind that exposes the metal flooring that can get pretty hot in the summer.
The park backs up to the water canal but there's a pretty high chain link fence to keep the kiddos out (unless they are climbers). There are houses on either side and at least a couple of them do not have fences so between this and the canal, so you should expect to be on the move in case your kid starts running towards the canal or towards someone's open backyard.
It's moderately far in from any main road so you shouldn't need to worry about a kid running into a busy street.

This is a medium-sized playground that seems well-maintained, but its biggest unique feature is a zipline with a seat that every kid seems to LOVE.
It has swings, shaded picnic tables, slides and other typically playground equipment, tennis courts, restrooms, and large grassy areas.
The only negative to this playground is that it sits relatively close to the very busy Federal Way, but as long as you keep an eye on them, it's not a problem. It's still relatively quiet.
