Think ‘McDonald’s for Italian food’ and you won’t be disappointed. Food is average, service is average and the place is unapologetic about it. But it’s incredibly fast, and incredibly cheap.

Great food in a relaxed environment. Ramen and sushi are both top notch. Great spot to dine as a group or solo. There’s great benches against the windows where you can grab some food and watch the world go by as you eat.

Exceptional local cafe that’s full of character for either takeaway or sit-in breakfasts, brunches and lunches. Great coffee and cakes and world class freshly made breakfast sandwiches. If you’re visiting the area, skip the dreary hotel breakfast and come here!

If you know. You know. Incredible Thai restaurant hidden away from the crowds of the city and quayside. Easily the best ‘fine’ Thai dining experience in the North East. large menu so there’s something for everyone, food was exceptional and so was the service.

Tight spaces. But handy if there’s no on street parking nearby!
