Whiskeys on the Water
2024 Apr 13
I was here for a date, so no pictures. Didn't wanna weird her out with my quirks just yet. Great location,it's proximity to the water front park would be awesome when the weather is good. We were not lucky weather wise. This place is cozier than the website pictures make it look. Cool decor inside. The place was packed and even though I had later reservations, they were able to seat us early. My drink a Detroit Mule was tasty and refreshing, made perfectly. Steak bites appetizer was tender, delicious and just the right size for sharing with another. My fish and chips were excellent. It's often what I'll order at a new to me place, cause if you can't make that taste good I won't trust your other dishes. Three nice size fillets, with breading that added to the taste of the fish. Great balance of crunchy and ,light, and flakey. Fries perfectly done, did not even need the salt or ketchup. My date enjoyed her shrimp linguine, and they tailored it more to her taste ,lightening up on the heat the waiter said it has.The portion size had her taking home left overs. Our waiter timed his visits to the table very well.Im at least an hour away but this place will be on my visit again list.
On the Rocks

Popped in for a quick bite and a couple
drinks before a concert and was expecting typical bar food. They had some of that but ,the menu was far more.Sushi, oysters, flat breads and more. A great looking drink menu too. I usually choose a beer ,but the drink menu grabbed me. I tried a Detroit Mule, which is whiskey, ginger beer, and mint. Soooo good I had two. My Friends chose sushi, and a smash burger and were very happy with their meals. I went with mussels. The flavor and care this dish was crafted with was amazing. Very friendly and attentive service at the bar we ate/drank at. Highly recommend this stop for anyone looking for something extra delicious in a meal.
