Great experience to walk across this World Heritage Organisation designated bridge. Fantastic views from the top There are a lifts on the Getxo and Portugalete sides to make it easier to get up and down. On the Portugalete side the lift closes at 1pm and reopens between 5 and 8pm. There is a frequent car/pedestrian carriage crossing between both sides if the River Nervion. A must do visit when in Bilbao. The bridge is easily accessible from Areeta/Las Arenas metro stop.

An impressive bridge spanning the River Nervion. Nice to walk from the south side to the north with views across to the Guggenheim down the river.
