Great nature-based park. Lots of logs and ropes to climb, or make cubby houses etc. Large ropes hanging from trees to swing on. Would recommend enclosed shoes when playing, lots of leaf litter and sticks. Lovely paths all around with views of the river. Nice little lake with ducks and wading birds. Public toilets, picnic tables and a couple of bbqs available, as well as open space to kick around a footy etc. There is also a small semi enclosed playground for little kids. Parking is at the tennis club carpark off McCabe Street.
Great little park. We had a family picnic there and it was great. Playground for the little ones, and room for a little backyard cricket or to kick a ball around. Plenty of shaded tables and seating next to a double BBQ. The only problem was when the wind was coming from behind the bin it was a little stinky. Also there are no public toilets nearby.
Nice little newsagency. Beanie Boo reseller.
