So glad to have discovered this hidden gem on the Cape this week after a colleague told me about it! I have lived in 3 different countries and have traveled to over 20 countries across Europe and the world. And I have a very bad sweet tooth, so you can imagine I made bakeries a priority in all my travels! Having said that, I can say with confidence that AMIE Bakery is one of the best I’ve ever tried!
The moment you step into the space, you feel like you're in Paris - the space is clean, beautiful, lots of natural light supplemented by very nice ambient space lighting. The pastry counter looks amazing - I'm glad I placed my order over the phone, otherwise I would have been tempted to get way more things to try!
Both kinds of the quiche were delicious, the dressing for the salad that came with the quiche was truly French, the raspberry scones were crumbly good, the blueberry muffins scrumptious, the cinnamon roll - very original, and the beignets were the melt-in-your-mouth highlight!!! My hazelnut latte was a very nice treat to go along with all this sweet deliciousness!
I also got to meet Amie herself - she was very open and kind, and went out of her way to provide excellent customer service! This is my new favorite spot on the Cape, and this was definitely the first of many more visits! So lucky to have a place like this on the Cape!
