An interesting tour of the private life of Rembrandt. The house is refurnished to fit the time he lived there, based on a inventory taken when he moved out. The audiotour comes free with the ticket and is informative and well spoken. The collection room is very cool, and his painting studio is very interesting. They also have the largest collection of existing copper printing plates carved by Rembrandt, viewable in a room where an artist does printing demonstrations. After you go up through the house, you can come down an addition with a second tour of temporary exhibits. A rather low key museum experience. I enjoyed it.

Lovely large park with big playgrounds. Petting zoo, rideable "Thomas" train, rideable train with tour of the park, mini golf, ice cream and coffee shops.
Groenhof is a nice shopping center, clean, with good shops. There is outdoor seating by a water feature between Groenhof and the Bolder community center. There's a florist out back, an eyeglass place, tailor, AH, Lidl, Jumbo, Kruidvat, Wine and cheese shop, and Prenger. The Bink and Beau lunch place has good ice cream in the afternoon. There's now a sushi place too, very friendly and good pokebowls. The Bruna folks are always very friendly. Oh and there's a jewelry place where I had a ring sized up.

The portion of my plate looks small, but the selections my husband and aunt made seemed overwhelming, so please don't be put off. The food is tasty and the staff is very friendly and understanding (I brought two kids under 5). It's a bit loud, across from a streetcar stop, but worth a dinner there on your trip.

The playground we found first was nice (5 years and up but at 3.5 we made it work with some help). We saw a nice gazebo but no easy sign for restrooms.
