I only saw Dr John Dennis at CICT. So this review is for him only. I want to try my best to give my honest and objective opinion. I saw him a couple years for OCD. Dr Dennis is very good at treating OCD. He is very helpful in that area. However, my dad got sick and after a year and half of suffering, he passed away. Dr Dennis is NOT a grief therapist, so he should not pretend to be one. Ethically he should have referred me out to a qualified grief therapist. It’s 4 years later, I am still hurt by things he said, such as I “must have felt relieved “that my dad finally died. He was even asking me if my dad abused me, which was so inappropriate. In one therapy (this is when my dad just passed away), I was crying the entire session, he was frustrated and said the session “is not productive”. Grief is fundamentally different from having OCD. One is an expert in one area does not mean he is expert in all areas.
In summary, I highly recommend Dr Dennis if you are looking for OCD treatment. At the same time, I wish Dr Dennis and all therapists to be humble, know their limits and have patients’ best interest at heart.
p.s the most useful resource for grief would be David Kessler’s books and time.

I was initially upset because the account number printed on my personal checks were wrong. I wrote a few checks before realizing that. I had to track down all of them (huge hassle and money loss for returned checks). This feels like a mistake a bank should not make. Then I am impressed with how easy to get helped by this branch compared with other larger banks. The customer service impressed me at this branch.
