Pretty complex that has gotten better with age. All the fields are grass except for the stadium. Sometimes grass can be cut rather long and the grass in front of some goals is nonexistent(just dirt). Bathrooms are not always open and are old (can be dirty). Dogs officially not allowed but see many people bring them to games without any punishment. Plenty of parking. Not much shade especially since they’ve removed the trees by the parking lot. Wear sunscreen!
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and hospitable staff! Higher end, classy Scottish experience with a decent selection of alcoholic drinks and scotch.
Highly recommend the Cullen Skink! Must have!
We had a burger and the Sunday chicken roast as well. All items were delicious. About £20-30 per person with alcohol (depending on what drinks you get)

Good food and even better staff. A local favorite that is attached to the Hilton grand vacation’s resort and country club.
Food was pretty good but not the best in the area. Had the Sunday roast both the chicken and roast beef Both were really good but not the best in the area. Wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but it is a convenient location with easy access to hiking.

If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth the visit not just for the history but for the walking trails and outdoor activities.
There are multiple gardens and numerous (4 or more) walking trails throughout the grounds that are open to the public. Pedestrians can walk the grounds and all the way up to the balmoral castle. When we visited, the castle was closed (not sure if guests are even allowed inside; pretty sure they are not as the home is still an active residence for the royals).
Beautiful views and walking paths near the river.
The cafe had pretty good cakes and other bakes, and the coffee (lattes especially) were good too.
The walking paths are very easy terrain with barely any slope or elevation change. Most paths are gravel or paved. Dogs and kids welcome. Can be busy and touristy.
I rated a four because there are definitely better hikes in the area but definitely still a neat visit for royal family and UK history.

I thought this cafe was surprisingly good. Some other reviews have really trashed it but in my opinion, the coffee was high quality and the bakes were delicious and well priced.
When we visited part of the cafe and restaurant were under construction so maybe they’ve improved things since the other reviews.
I thought it was a good break and snack after some thorough walking of the grounds.
The gift shop had typical nick knacks, but all items were pretty high quality…a far cry from the typical touristy trap. All in all a good experience though we didn’t buy much (an ornament and a dish towel haha)
