I have been remiss in rating UK, U.S., & Manhattan food providers but not the consistently great stalwart Bushwick Bakery only 400 feet from where I live (this facility also provides liver treats to my Pug who helped in encouraging my belated review).
As my family has frequented Bushwick Bakery frequently over the last five years, I will not dwell on any particular item but rather the overall consistently quality of the baked goods delivered on a day to day basis at a reasonable cost.
If you stop by during warmer weather, you might see my pug at an outdoor table snacking on her bakery supplied liver treats!

Was there for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Perfect venue for that. Good views of the river and the marina. One probably could also have a reception outside on the marina decks.

When I lived in the Heights for 7 years, Michael Towne was my go to place many evenings after I got off the 2/3 at Clarke St station. Always a great balance of selection and price. After many years on the Upper West Side where 67 Wine was nearby (another fine place), I returned to Brooklyn. Though no longer in Brooklyn Heights, I'd rather wait and have Michael Towne choices delivered than purchase from my nearby providers. The attention to both detail and customers needs make it worth the extra wait. I hope the Clarke St elevator replacement project has not impacted their business too much.

Friendly service. Good hours. Modest selection. Maybe prices are good by Bushwick standards but prices are 20% to 35% higher than other NYC larger volume sellers. Bottom line is the shop is good for being local with convenient hours but not for variety or pricing.
