It is now quite different from years ago when the vegetation was still young. This place is worth a visit if you are in Toronto and want a little escape from the city. It is so close to downtown Toronto. You can walk from Sherborne Station (less than 30 mins) or even from Yonge Station, through the beautiful Rosedale neighbourhood.

The trail head by South Rd is a little bumpy which might not be ideal for strollers. Parking is not free but it's more convenient if you don't want to walk from Chorley Park (yes, free street parking up there).

There's a cafe with patio, a public washroom, a store, bike rental, ice cream shop, and of course the Farmers Market on Saturdays. There are picnic tables by the Farmers Market and a few muskoka chairs by the Lily pond. Signage can be improved as I still struggle to find certain spots I visited years ago.

So glad we tried the tasting menu tonight. Fresh and quality ingredients. We love the duck liver pate with strawberry puree, seared yellowfin tuna, braised chicken terrine, dry aged rib eye with oyster mushroom and the black forest cake the most. Friendly service and non pretentious. Highly recommend this restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Went there in April. Maybe better during late Spring or early Summer. Took us an hour to walk from the entrance to the light house. I think it's great for bikers and bird watching. Bring water and be sun protected.
