Right now there is a tourism incentive for tourists/ visa users as the relais chateaux we previously stayed in explained to us. Basically charges should be almost half price. This hotel tried to charge us double and take advantage of this new policy. Then they charged both of our cards one being my boyfriend's debit card, meaning he was charged double in addition to my card being charged double. This is after sitting with the weekend manager who promised to honor the actual price. This means we were charged triple the amount of the room for no reason. This whole annoyance cost us about 3 hours dealing with these situations without a complete remedy. They called to reverse my boyfriends charge with my double charge being something that they said visa would deal with which I do not have proof of. When we voiced our concerns they did most other guests "didn't have a problem with being overcharged" I have stayed at Coppola's property before in Peten Guatemala which was wonderful. This one I believe must be sold off. It's not the same experience and was all and all really unenjoyable. I did not feel well taken care of as a guest and it was a horrible introduction to Buenos Aires. Not once were we offered an apology.
