Not for us. I think everyone individually tried but there was just not enough consistency for my child’s needs.
- three different supervisors assessing her level of swimming at two separate trials. We then attended one additional lesson.(total three sessions)
- felt ignored when repeatedly told staff that my child can swim independently and even showed videos!
- child then placed in a class with two kids who could not even get their head under water and was understimulated and bored.
- clearly told on first day my child was swimming 50-100m independently and needed technique assistance
- assessor was then not my child’s subsequent instructor
- I have the impression that the instructor that was assigned to my child was inexperienced and continuously referenced the lesson plan
- instructor had no control of class and in my
Opinion could not read my child’s physical cues.
I have literally just spent the last hour and half watching my child swim with her father in our pool at home. I can not recommend a swim school that went for $46/fortnight for an instructor to play with bath toys with her half of the time with no swimming!
We cancelled further lessons straight away. So far that process seems painless.
I believe this could have been avoided if supervisors and instructors were clear about what a child’s needs were from dot instead of waiting till three session later and a total of 6 different people later (three supervisors and three instructors at two separate assessments/trials and one flop of a lesson that left a very bad taste in my mouth).
Pity, came highly recommended from a trusted source.
