A friend volunteers here. You'll wait online but anyone can get free food. Has various stations where you select this or that. near metro. They feed ~300 families a week.
We saw sonnets for an old century by a well-known playwright. There was a lot of moving us between rooms and part of it was even on video. Good show.
They have some good vendors including veg heaven for vegan baked goods. It's a shame Panorama can't bring enough rye and pumpernickel to not be immediately sold out.
I stopped in today, probably at a bad time. Everyone seemed upset. A client was complaining that they lost her drycleaning and an employee had to deal with it. Anyway, i looked around and they do have some quality products (including hebel halva, which nobody else sells in NW as far as I know), but in general their prices are high. I get it, it's Kalorama, but still.
Went to an event here and saw the new studio that they have built.
