The National Gallery
2023 Sep 19
The art collection at The National Gallery is tremendous. We enjoyed the works of Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, and many other brilliant artists. There was a short wait outside, as we didn't make advanced reservations. If you plan your visit, you can save time with a free reservation. Some of the most famous paintings will be quite crowded, so you will need to be prepared to take a quick picture as the queue moves.
Excellent museum. We made reservations, but there was not a wait when we arrived. There is an earthquake exhibit on the top floor. It was okay, but we enjoyed the escalator ride to it more than the actual exhibit. Our favorite two exhibits were the gem stones (beautiful) and the dinosaurs. Their animatronic T-Rex was awesome. The sheer size of fossils and animal skeletons were good reminders of just how small we are in creation. Amazing!
Udom Thai
2021 Sep 11
This was our latest attempt to find great Thai food for date night. It was a success! We ordered online for take out. They did seem to ignore the pickup time we selected, so I would only order when you are ready to head to the restaurant. Take the spicy level warning on their site seriously. Medium was like Thai spicy at most places. The drunken noodles were great as was the pad woon sen. Egg rolls were crispy on the outside and not too squishy on the inside. We will be back!
Tilden Little Farm
2020 Mar 15
We took our kids here for the first time last week. They loved feeding and petting the animals. We brought lettuce and celery, as these are the only items you are supposed to feed the animals, and they sure do love it when you do. The little farm has cows, sheep, goats, and assorted birds. Hand washing stations and bathrooms are available to help clean up after interacting with the animals. The farm seems like it would be best for kids age 2-10yrs. A good family outing option away from the city.
