Nice park nestled in the upper right corner of Westchester County. The main lakes were "drained", I assume for maintenance (dredging) (11/23). The trail blazes are well marked.
The park is used as a Summer Camp for disadvantaged city kids- no availability during these months may be an issue. Definitely a place to explore in the spring

Cool little park- look for the plaque with the old boundary between the Bronx and Manhattan, back when the canal ran far north of it's present locale

Always a good little shopping center. I hope the bagel shop reopens soon. Sal's Pizza is a great spot for a quick slice, Acme is pretty well stocked, the post office is efficient, there's a dry cleaner

Quiet lot off Old Lake Street with access to Merritt Hill and Silver Lake park.

The views from the top of the mountain are awesome and it's cool seeing the Hawks flying below you off the trail. A moderate hike on the top, and the paths down to the shore path are good and decently marked
