For those who think they don't like modern ecclesiastical architecture, give Clifton Cathedral a go! It is a remarkably peaceful, holy, place that encourages relaxing the tensions which so often block us from hearing the soft, persistent, call of the Spirit. If you also venture further, the cathedral community is welcoming - fun, even! - and the music world-famous, enhanced by the superb organ and amazing acoustics. They have an amazing, devoted, Bishop and priests too. Highly recommended. The wider Clifton Diocese is rich in its beauty, Catholic history (it includes Glastonbury, after all!) and potential. A lovely area with some lovely, holy, people.
