The French House has been on my list for a while. It's different than a regular American diner that everything is jumbo size and typical, yet everything here at the French house is exquisite. The portion, ingredients, and atmosphere will make you feel that the owner really has a good taste. Their weekend waffle is good, crispy outside soft inside. Their omelet is very flavorful and satisfying. The biscuit that comes with the omelet is something that caught my attention. Creamy buttery taste and is not dry at all. Their salad is something that I would like to try out next time. Everything here looks tempting and tasty.
This restaurant has been here for quite some time now and it is better than I expected to be honest. Their dishes gives you a comfortable spicy kick which is the type of spiciness that doesn't make you bomb the toilet 10 times after the meal. Although their dishes are a little more towards the salty end, but overall their dishes do taste good. The reasons why I didn't give it a five-star is that the price is a bit high and the service is not that good. Three dishes cost me $53 and after tips each dish averages more than $20. Another thing is that although I do speak Chinese I still find out I have difficulty communicating with the waitress. I asked for ice water but she gave me water with no ice. I asked for napkins she didn't give it to me until the third time.
It's a really crowded beach got there at 9:30 was already pretty packed. In the afternoon it was even worst our tent got surrounded by cars which needed someone to move their car to be able to get out. The sand is silky smooth, yet the water is muddy and not clear. It's a family hangout beach and remember to put sunscreen or it's really burning after you get home.
This is now the best hot pot place I recommend to everyone. First of all, their price is the best for all you can eat hotpot. $19.99 for weekday lunch. They provide seafood such as blue crab, shrimps, clams, fish fillet, and most importantly, baby octopus. I was excepting the seafood being not so fresh for this price, but their seafood quality is exceptionally fresh. Their seafood doesn't smell fishy, and it have a sweet taste while eating. Their meat is average, and I personally don't think you need the $5 upgrade for the meat. The broth is also high quality. I ordered half Tom Yum broth and half original bone broth, which they put Chinese herbs in it and it taste good. For this price, they also provide beef stripe and pork intestines and quail eggs. They have hand-made beef balls and dumplings that I also recommend. Just avoid all the fish balls, fish tofu. The other great part of this restaurant is that they provide unlimited plum juice at the drinking bar. A lot of other All you can eat places charge $10 per pint. If you want high quality hotpot with really affordable price this is the right place. $25 per person after tax and tips.
