DreamWorks Water Park

I really wanted to love this place more than 30 actually did. Don't get me wrong, an indoor water park, right inside the mall, that you don't have to drive at least an hour away to get to, what not to like, right? While I command it for what it does right, I think it shows that this is DreamWorks first attempt in this industry. Lack of dedicated swim up bars and adult areas were some of the biggest turn offs for me. While I liked the idea of the "sky boxes" (think, indoors covered cabanas that feel almost like hotel rooms, right inside the park), I found the lack of air conditioning insufferable, as it was quite hot inside and the air was excessively humide due to the sky boxes facing the wave pool. Speaking of which, the wave pool takes center stage and is the main attraction in the park. It's enormous. It also feels like a mini ocean rather than a pool. Other that that, it's standard indoor water park fair. Can't go wrong: lazy river, wave pool, rides, all the usual line up you'd expect are present. Other plus is that, there are so many attractions and food choices inside of the mall, it's easy to step out, get a change of scenery, then come back. Albeit, you have to leave the park. Some of the areas I'd love to see improvements on are like I said, a dedicated, adult only space, a swim up bar, perhaps mall parking pass with the purchase of a water park ticket, AC in the skyboxes, more consistent open hours (right now, it feels like there closing hours change day by day) and we'll truly have a winner that is minutes away from Manhattan and Jersey City.

Great service and atmosphere. The menu has changed since I last came. With some welcomed additions (such as their marinated oysters) and some items that will be missed (such as their exquisite crab cakes).

Very clean and convenient Park for people living in and around Secaucus. It even has an ice hockey rink! I experienced the annual Secaucus restaurant festival there.
