A must see in Barcelona! Definitely purchase a guided tour well in advance to make sure you get in and to learn about the history. Because we had a scheduled tour at 9 am, we did not have to wait in a line to enter.
We did the optional tower tour, which I found well worth the cost and the time. The spiral staircase coming down is quite narrow and steep. I recommend putting any bag you may have in one of the lockers and having your hands free when you descend.
Allow 2 to 3 hours for the visit.
I can't begin to describe how beautiful the stained glass is and how inspiring the design and architecture are.
